Time out from work

As the title suggests : a little time-out from work (huff puff :) )

1. T has 3 calls. I, K and L. Gud on ya Mate! Gud luck to ya! Iam glad you cud make it this time.

2. Have read through (or was it ran through) over 4 books in the last 5 days

a) "The memoirs of a Geisha" (thomas Golden ) - stunning, super book. read it through in 1 sitting. more later

b) "Sea Biscuit" (like the movie) by a certain Laura Hillenbrand - as refreshing to read as the movie itself. wonderfully written narrative.

c) "A Place called Freedom" - which i beleive was the last follett book i had not read. Disappointing really, it wasnt upto a few of the others. Strangely, guys like Follett, Archer all seem to write stories which are almost in the same stereotype. Read one, you feel on top of the world (Pillars of the Earth, A dangerous fortune) read a few more you suddenly have had enough (Jackdaws, Lie down with the lions (yuck) )

d) A quickie, re - read of Archer's "Not a penny more, not a penny less". Good book.

Now, remember i said 'over' 4 books. Thats right, iam in the middle of one right now.

"Losing my virginity" - Richard Branson's autobiography

Somehow, i cant bring myself to blog these days. i do have a lot of wonderful things about some of these books i have ben reading lately.

what else, hhmmm, saw a preview of "King Kong" where he was tearing up a T Rex's mouth to save Ann Darrow (Naomi watts, who looks Yum :) ). Must watch it when i get the chance.
Must also try to see 'Geisha'.

aha, i forgot - its New Year. Happy New year world !!

Resolutions?? Hmmm, :))

"Cut the crap, get to work".

Gotta go
