Hectic month - travelling, my dad unwell, stock markets getting licked big time, more brochures, learning Leather technology - this and that - there was, as Davies wrote 'No time to stand and stare' :)
Um, i dunno i slept for an hour and im up again - i feel utterly - like numb - and a nice content feeling inside - Im still debating whether to watch OSO again or watch the rest of 'American Gangster' or take a shot at Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul
yaaawn :)

A funny moment
Its 1:25 in the morning - my mom came in to my room and caught me eating orange peels, chatting with some Brazilian friend on messenger using the laptop speaker/mic - and went mad :)
Good fun expected in the morning !

Jab we met!
Just spent a few hours watching 'Jab we met'.
I watched it at home on Conditional access [ my first time ] - and hey all watch out - this is how MOST movies are going to be watched in the future. Trust me.
Jab we met - is the cutest, nicest romantic movie ive seen for as long as i can remember - Yeah, its full of cliches, punjabi props, rich boy hero, jarring music and stuff - I wont fucken lie - i had a silly smile on my face the whole time -
Kareena's BEST movie so far. Shahid & Kareena have this AMAZING chemistry on screen - dunno what the hell made her dump him and switch to saif.
The movie also feature the BEST song of 2007: " Tum se hi" :

Na hai yeh pana
Na Khona hi hai
Tera Na hona jane
Kyun hona hi hai
Tum se hi din hota hai
Surmaiye shaam aati
Har ghadi saans aati hai
Zindagi kehlati hai
Tumse hi tumse hi
Na hai yeh pana
Na Khona hi hai
Tera Na hona jane
Kyun hona hi hai
Aankhon mein ankhne teri
Bahoon mein baahein teri
Mera na mujhe mein kuch raha, hua kya
Baaton mein baatein teri
Raatein saugatein teri
Kyun tera sab yeh ho gaya, hua kya
Mein kahin bhi jata hoon
Tumse hi mil jata hoon
Tumse hi tumse hi
Shoor mein khamoshi hai
Thodi se Behoshi hai
Tum se hi tum se hi
Aadha sa wada kabhi
Aadhe se jayada kabhi
Jee chahe karlu is trah wafa ka
Chode na chote kabhi
Tode na tute kabhiJo dhaga tumse jud gaya wafa ka
Mein Tera sharmaya hoon
Jo mein ban paya hoon
Tumse hi tumse hi
Raste miljate hai
Manzile miljati hai
Tumse hi tumse hi
:)
*sigh*

Photo Update
http://picasaweb.google.co.in/l.abhilash/Thailand_Dec_07
I hopefully will remember to store my photos up on picasaweb in the future too. What few photos i managed, liked and not connected to work have been added to the album.
A pity really because for all the days i spent there - i cudnt really revisit my favorite palace & the huge sleeping buddha thing :)
Theres always going to be another time, no !?

Its a brand new year !
Well, its 2008 here in India and still a bunch of hours left in 2007 in other places - Funny, aint it ?
I am not exactly suffering from one of my somnipathic attacks tonight - but keeping myself awake because tomorrow appears to be a bit of free day - because no one appears to be planning on coming to work.
I had a VERY nice week (last week) nice bit of a spell of good work after getting back from all the sights & sounds of Bangkok.
I scrubbed the entire apartment clean [ the 3 washrooms included ] spending about 3 hours - then spent an equal amount of time at Crossword bookstore across the road & took home about 4 books - 1 book on the Knight Templars (nice one not too bad), Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul, some new release from Manfredi (the Alexander guy, i cant remember the book's title - theyre normally no-brainers - good for a lazy sunday afternoon) and 1 utterly wasted Wilbur Smith [I was hoping for some interesting epic centered around ancient egyptians, but i think thats the last Wilbur smith i'l ever buy - the Asshole must be hanged if he isnt dead already]
Interestingly, bought Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner for my anticipated 10hour sleepover at the Airport in Bangkok [ Because my hotel threw me out at Noon and refused to extend my room for another day. I spent the rest of the day by the pool, then the health club, then the gym shower THEN went down to leave for the Airport for the flight which was leaving the next day around 11 am or something]
- The book, being the first in the genre was interesting enough - but i am 100% certain [ i looked at his other book, A thousand splendid suns] that similar stuff written around similar characters, locales etc. will make it less interesting.
Music: Toh Phir Aao, Tera Mera Rishta - Awaarapan (O$#a TOP), A bunch of recent tamil songs being performed Live on Vijay TV earlier this evening - nice bunch of young singers - krish, chinmayi, Kartick and a host of other new guys
Enough messing around - other stuff -
2007, oddly, if i look back will probably be a defining year in my life - hell, not that i did anything HUGELY big - but it will go down in my puny history as the year in which i found my footing, identity in my little society - my immediate family and more importantly, at work.
