I cant imagine how the lady would have been living around carrying 8 babies for, what, 30 weeks, as the article says. I simply cant.
Good lord! Heres a bouncer! - The article goes on to say (one of the ladies - part of the editorial team - says) that Neonatal care for premature babies costs an average of USD 65,000 per baby in the US - during the Hospital stay during birth - i mean - Holy Shit! thats a lot of money.
So heres a bullish case for outfits like Apollo (to up their tabs to narrow the spread - because a round trip to the US costs what - like 2000 dollars !? ) - and a bearish case for American outfits to actually reduce their medical costs (so that all their business does not move to Apollo in India or to Thailand)
Possible bullish case for Healthinsurance (like the american model) in India too - i was reading somewhere like 1 or 2% of Indian people have it - (heck, iam not sure i have full foolproof insurance nor do i carry my insurance card in my wallet)
*gawk*
Enough obsession for one morning!
