Frankfurt > Part II

Back to horrible weather in chennai - dry, dusty, sunny, muggy and rainy all on the same day !!

The other day, back in Frankfurt - i did manage a nice bus tour, followed by a quiet stroll around the old part of town - Old frankfurt - along the River Main - called Frankfurt am Main (- contrary to what i was told to expect -) was wonderfully european and photogenic - where stunning century old gothic cathedrals clutter around tall gleaming glass towers, modern buildings - a kind of a great blend of the traditional and the modern.

I spent a particularly wonderful hour loitering about the Römer - its surrounding shopping streets, cafes and the imposing views of Frankfurt's modern skyline all around it

- Standing by the Romer's main square you are like a stone's throw from St.Katherine's cathedral - the St. Paul's church visible nearby - all with the River Main running nearby - with the imposing Commerzbank tower and the Main tower (amongst Europe's tallest buildings) clearly visible in the backdrop.

So-so photos here (Theres no commentary yet - maybe later on)
