A new one aptly named - "Gyaan"

Its gud to be back after a long time. Ive ben busy (Reeeallly really)

Heres something really important that struck me while reading "Managing Radical change" by Sumantra Ghosal.

Heres the stuff, quoted verbatim from the Late professor's own lingo:

" Sustained superior corporate performance is based on the ability to manage the tension between two symbiotic forces: the need for ongoing improvement in operational performance and productivity through constant rationalization in existing activities, and the need for growth and expansion through continous revitalization of stregy, organization and people"

Rationalization - as in Cost cutting, tightening belts, improving productivity is Sour. Growth - as in "revitalization', dreaming up a vision and driving new things is Sweet.

Growth without productivity improvement is like building castles in sand, which collapse on their own weights.

Creating and exploiting new opportunities (Sweet) & Improving resource productivity (Sour) must go symbiotic - hand in hand together.

--Might sound big time gyaan. It is highly sensible stuff & just the right kind the doctor ordered for me.

So thats done: now to usual stuff - thanks to suraj, who is kind enough to make use of the HRD ministry's generosity to download & supply me with any mp3 i need - ive gotten hold of quite a few gud ones.

"Chasing cars" by "Snow patrol" - Deceptively slow, but feels real gud. strongly recommended.

Was in Mumbai for a week or so. Apart from the nightly booze at the Wild Orchid (where the bar tender has now begun to recognize me, ordering for a "Screw driver" the moment i step in) i also met AD & mumbaiah as usual. We watched Casino Royale.

I take back whatever i said bad about Daniel Craig last year, about him looking like a thug and all that.. Hes done really well..um, he cant help if he looks like a schmuck with a great body, can he ?

Eva green - shes like "omigosh what a babe" all through. Man!

Nice deviation from the usual slick style of bond flicks, of which we were growing rather tired of.

When a bartender asks bond (who goes for a drink after getting thrashed in a card game or something) how he likes his vodka martini,stirred or shaken, he says- "Do i look like i bloody care ?" :0

More good news: Looks like Utd are going to win this year after all.

And, finally before i go, did you know, I completed 22 years of my sordid useless existence this November 20th. My mom says ive even got two grey hairs near my sideburns :)
